Education for the Social Inclusion of Roma

The project aims to empower Roma communities and enhance their social inclusion and employment opportunities through educational activities.
The project is carried out in three countries: Croatia, Austria, and Romania.
Why the project?
- Many members of the Roma community have not had the opportunity to complete formal education or participate in lifelong learning programmes.
- There is sometimes a lack of information about education and employment opportunities.
- Today, digital skills are increasingly important, and this project offers an opportunity to learn and improve them together.
- The project also provides support in developing soft skills – communication, self-confidence, and teamwork – which are valuable in everyday life and at work.
- The EDURom project was created precisely to address these needs and open new opportunities for learning and employment.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES
1. Access to adult education programmes
Ensure access to adult education programmes for members of the Roma community, enabling them to acquire relevant knowledge and key skills needed for active participation in society and the labour market, thereby contributing to their social inclusion and the strengthening of social cohesion.
2. Improve the digital skills
Improve the digital skills of members of the Roma community by developing and implementing a non-formal education programme.
3. Development and strengthening of soft skills
Enable the development and strengthening of soft skills among members of the Roma community through the creation and implementation of a non-formal education programme.
4. Involve members of the Roma community
Involve members of the Roma community in formal education programmes leading to the acquisition of micro-credentials.
5. Promote the idea of lifelong learning
Promote the idea of lifelong learning among members of the Roma community, as well as in society more broadly, in order to raise awareness of the importance of continuous learning and skill development for personal and social progress.
6. Enhance the knowledge and working methods
Enhance the knowledge and working methods of adult education institutions in their work with members of the Roma community.

1. Participants gain the opportunity to take part in free education programmes (co-funded by the European Union).
