The EDURom team from the Centre for Lifelong Learning and Culture Bjelovar (CUK) travelled to Bucharest, Romania, where the team was hosted by EDURom project partner Scoala Pe Bune.

The meeting took place as part of the LTTA activity “Design and Implementation of Non-Formal Education Programmes”, bringing partners together for several days of learning, exchange and joint work.

Learning from each other

During the first two days of the LTTA, the CUK team and the Romanian partner focused on sharing experiences and approaches to non-formal education.

The sessions provided an opportunity to discuss how non-formal learning programmes can be designed, implemented and adapted to the needs of different groups of learners.

Rather than simply presenting individual practices, the meeting created space for discussion, questions and the exchange of experiences from different educational and community contexts.

From experience to new ideas

One of the strengths of international cooperation is the opportunity to look at familiar challenges from a different perspective.

Through joint work with Scoala Pe Bune, the CUK team gained new insights into approaches to non-formal education while also sharing its own experience from adult education and community-based learning.

The exchange of good practices is an important part of EDURom because it allows project partners to learn from one another and use that knowledge when developing future project activities.

Working together on the next steps

The LTTA was also an opportunity to coordinate upcoming EDURom activities and strengthen cooperation between the project partners.

The programme continued with additional sessions focused on learning, discussion and networking, giving participants further opportunities to develop ideas together and connect their experiences to the next stages of the project.

For EDURom, international meetings like this are not only about travelling and meeting partners. They are working sessions where knowledge is shared, approaches are tested and new ideas are developed through collaboration.

Continuing the EDURom journey

The Bucharest LTTA is another step in building the knowledge and cooperation needed to develop meaningful educational opportunities within the EDURom project.

By combining the experiences of organisations working in different countries and contexts, the project aims to strengthen approaches to non-formal education and create learning opportunities that are more accessible, relevant and responsive to the needs of Roma adults.
