For many adults, however, access to education is not always easy. Time, financial circumstances, previous educational experiences, or other barriers can make returning to learning a challenge.

This is why creating accessible, inclusive, and relevant learning opportunities is so important.

Why lifelong learning matters to EDURom

Lifelong learning is at the heart of the EDURom – Education for Social Inclusion of Roma project.

EDURom aims to support adult members of Roma communities by creating opportunities to develop digital skills, soft skills, and other competences that can support personal development, further education, employment, and active participation in society.

The project also focuses on understanding the real educational needs of Roma adults. By listening to learners and learning from their experiences, project partners can work towards educational opportunities that are more relevant, accessible, and meaningful.

Learning does not always begin with a big decision. Sometimes it starts with a question, a new interest, or the simple feeling that it is time to try something different.

A new skill can build confidence. New knowledge can create new possibilities. And one learning opportunity can lead to another.
