The EDURom partnership brings together organisations from different European countries, each contributing specific knowledge and experience in the fields of education, inclusion, community support, and international cooperation.

One of our project partners is Pe Bune, a non-governmental organisation based in Voluntari, Ilfov County, near Bucharest, Romania.

Supporting people through education and inclusion

Pe Bune works with vulnerable groups and communities, using education, social inclusion, and international cooperation as tools for creating new opportunities and strengthening participation in society.

The organisation’s work includes non-formal education, support for vulnerable communities, social inclusion, and international educational projects and mobility programmes.

A particular focus is placed on people who may face barriers to education and participation, including adolescents at risk, disadvantaged communities, Roma minorities, migrants, and people facing health-related challenges.

Through its activities, Pe Bune aims to create safe and supportive environments in which young people and other members of vulnerable communities can access guidance, knowledge, practical skills, and opportunities for personal development.

Learning beyond the classroom

Non-formal education is an important part of Pe Bune’s approach. By creating learning opportunities outside traditional educational settings, the organisation supports participants in developing skills that can be applied in everyday life, education, and future employment.

Its activities also encourage participants to become more confident, active, and engaged in their communities.

International cooperation represents another important area of Pe Bune’s work. The organisation develops and participates in European projects focused on youth exchanges, mobility, professional development, innovation, inclusion, and sustainability.

These experiences allow Pe Bune to connect local community work with broader European initiatives and exchange knowledge with organisations from different countries.

Pe Bune and the EDURom project

As a partner in EDURom – Education for Social Inclusion of Roma, Pe Bune contributes valuable experience in working with diverse and vulnerable communities.

Its practical experience in non-formal education and social inclusion supports the project’s aim of creating accessible and relevant learning opportunities for adult members of Roma communities.

Within the EDURom partnership, Pe Bune contributes to the exchange of knowledge and experiences between Romania, Croatia, Austria, and Germany. This international perspective enables partners to compare different approaches, identify common challenges, and explore solutions that can be adapted to local contexts.

The organisation’s experience in working directly with communities is particularly valuable when addressing questions related to participation, motivation, access to education, and the development of practical skills.

Building opportunities through cooperation

The partnership with Pe Bune strengthens the international dimension of EDURom and contributes to the project’s broader goal of promoting education, lifelong learning, inclusion, and equal opportunities.

By bringing together organisations with different experiences and perspectives, EDURom creates a space for mutual learning and cooperation. Together, the partners are working towards educational approaches that respond to real needs and help create pathways towards greater participation and opportunity.
